FINE ART WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

AURORA OREGON

Oh! Julia and Ben, what can I say about them! I was captivated by their love story and how comfortable they were with one another.  We met at a cute coffee shop downtown and they told me how they met and that they were looking for someone who could capture that.  I was so grateful to have the opportunity to tell their love story through Fine Art Wedding Photography at Wilmes Hop Farm in Aurora Oregon.

When I arrived,  both Julia & Ben were so calm spending time with their friends as they were getting ready.  Separated on the venue only by a few hundred feet, they wanted to keep things traditional and not see each other before that moment Julia walked down the aisle. Julia remained composed until she had her first look with her father and then there was not a dry eye in the house (including mine) for that special moment when her father saw his daughter in her wedding dress.  The groomsmen getting ready was slightly less emotional, but we definitely had a good laugh when all the groomsmen pitched in (all at once) to help the groom get ready.

After everyone was ready it was time for the ceremony.  Guests flooded in as the sun came out on that beautiful Summer day.   The guests watched as Ben saw Julia for the first time and I think everyone melted a little bit.  You could see in his face how lucky he felt to be standing up there waiting for her.  After the ceremony, we took the time to do all of their formal portraits and a little extra time with just the two of them.  We took advantage of the best spots in the venue and were finally told to wrap it up by her Aunt who was helping coordinate her wedding.

The speeches were the most memorable as they all told stories you would only get to know if you came to the wedding.  Julia’s identical twin sister and older sister told stories of their childhood and reminded us that three girls in one house are a lot.  There was a bittersweetness to them letting her start a new family with Ben.  Her father could not have been prouder of his daughters and during his speech I happened to look over and capture a moment of Juila’s Mom having a sweet laugh and cry over the speeches.  The cake cutting appeared to be a run of the mill cake cutting until it was not and Julia got Ben good with a big handful of cake.

The rest of the night was spent dancing and celebrating a long time coming for the two high school sweethearts.  I was so lucky to have met them and get to tell their stories.

I loved every minute of this day and sharing it with two special people.
